A) Geotextile fabric place in a 36 x 100 foot area with a 4 inch layer of gravel and 3 inches of fill sand on top. This area will have high impact with 9 young horses placed in this area for 4 months straight B) 4 inches of sand laid on top of clay soil. Area is 30 feet x 70 feet. C) Four inches of 3/4 inch minus gravel pack down and then 4 inches of fill sand on top. D) Geotextile fabric place in a 50 foot diameter area with a 4 inch layer of gravel and 3 inches of fill sand on top. This footing is the same as A but will not have as much impact. Impact will be similar to B and C’s. E) This area has had sand over clay for several years with a high water table. This site gives landowners and opportunity to see an existing site with several years use. 2 loads of fill sand were added to this area this year. Site is 80 feet x 150 feet. F) This area is 1 1/2 inch minus gravel 6 inches deep with a 4-inch layer of cedar wood chips on top. G) This area in recycled wood shavings with manure. The horses will be placed on this for brief periods in the winter months and then replanted in the spring and rested for the summer. H) This area is partially completed. It is 14 feet wide by 30 feet long. Geotextile with gravel on top. A layer of recycled shavings and manure will be place on top to prevent injury from the gravel. It was not part of the original project but I am going to try this on my own and add it to the report I) I have an area I could still do but will be talking to Clair Klocke, Steve Fedje and Larry Brewer for any ideas as to what we should use, otherwise this site is not part of the project. |
