| The first year we completed much of the exterior work. The end of 2001 we gutted much of the interior. The pilot house was still very original. Ceiling wood of 2 1/2 inch wide strips of mahogany were added. Cabin Sole wood of teak with holly strips was layed throughout the boat. Damaged wood was replaced and everything was striped to bare wood and varnished. The overhead was stripped and faired. The ceiling tiles which had been added at some point in the boats history was not replaced. New mahogany strips were made for the overhead. | ||||||

| The stateroom was four pilot births. It has been debated whether this was the original design or if it had been changed for charter use. The design was crowded and didn't fit our needs. We removed both upper bunks and widened the starboard birth. New doors and drawers were made with mahogany. Reading is a favorite past time so we added mahogany slats along the hull with which we can relax against the hull in comfort. Book racks are planned along with reading lights. | ||||||
