Vashon

2000 bay colt by Voltaire HAN (Furioso II/ Gotthard) out of an ISR Oldenburg approved thoroughbred mare.

Vashon was born on June 13, 2000. His sire, Voltaire was rated #2 in the world for producing jumpers Voltaire has been number one in the U.S. for producing dressage and hunter horses in the last two years. Vashon's mother (Molly S.) is a 16.2 H, large framed thoroughbred mare who competed at the 3rd level in dressage. She has incredible movement and has produced top babies for us. Vashon is a gorgeous bay with a large, flashy star. He was a premium foal.

Jacquie with Vashon shown right. She is Vashon's current owner. Vashon was purchased from Kristen McGettigan while he was in training at OZ, Inc.. Kristen was sad to sell Vashon but twins boys keep you pretty busy. She purchased Vashon from us when he was four.

At a recent show Jacquie's mom said, "Vashon had a great time. He was such a good boy. With more miles, they will be a great team. They had two clear rounds and placed fantastic in both of those – 1st out of 35 (the first class they competed in!) and 3rd out of 24." When the picture was taken, it was the first time Jackie jumpeed four feet.

Jackie and Vashon have now shown for over a year and love to go to Thunderbird, BC.
